Research Overview. Our laboratory focuses on the circuitry of the hippocampus and anatomically related regions. We use a combination of techniques, including large scale multielectrode recording, real-time signal processing and targeted optogenetic interventions and behavioral manipulations of awake, behaving animals to understand how the brain learns, remembers and decides.
UCSF Radiology stores, distributes, and displays imaging studies using a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). All studies done by Radiology can be accessed through the PACS using one of two viewing systems: UCSF Radiology eUnity / WebPACS The UCSF Radiology eUnity / WebPACS system is a web-based image distribution solution where the viewer is called up through a browser. …
Jul 10, 2020 Claire receives the UZH Award for Research in Brain Diseases! Jun 22, 2020 Yiming’s paper is published in Neuron This is a website for the lab of Seemay Chou at UCSF. It describes their research about structural biology, the bacterial cell wall, microbiology, and tick-borne diseases like Lyme disease. UCSF Lab Services at Parnassus performs diagnostic and other laboratory tests for patients receiving care in our hospital and clinics and for our scientific researchers. Your doctor may order specific tests to better understand your condition. UCSF laboratories perform more than 4.2 million tests every year.

welcome to the debnath lab Dr. Jayanta (Jay) Debnath, MD, is a Professor and Chair in the Department of Pathology at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). He is affiliated with the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program , Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center , Breast Oncology Program , and the Helen Diller Medical Center at Parnassus Heights . Welcome lab interns! February 01, 2021 Welcome to our amazing City College of San Francisco interns Liz Guo and Aliyah Peterson, who will be working with Cecilia and Ben, respectively. Welcome to the UCSF Clinical Labs online laboratory manual.
Welcome to the Wiita Lab @UCSF! We are an experimental research group in the Dept. of Laboratory Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. Our laboratory is focused on using mass spectrometry-based proteomics to discover new biology and therapeutic targets in hematologic malignancies (blood cancers) and genetic disease.
University of California, San Francisco. Perera LAB In our lab we study the cancer-specific mechanisms of autophagy-lysosome activation, and how this organellar system contributes to metabolic reprogramming in PDA. We hypothesize that the functional interplay between enhanced cellular trafficking pathways and activation of gene programs that regulate organelle dynamics and function is an Perera RM and Bardeesy N. Finding Labs. Applicants may choose any UCSF and/or Gladstone Institutes faculty (including those not mentioned below) to contact as you set up your interview schedule for Path to Postdoc. We understand that finding faculty to interview with at an institution the size of UCSF is daunting.

So far, these have included in-depth discussions on counteracting white supremacy culture in academia, building an inclusive and supportive lab culture for trainees, and collectively drafting a laboratory compact. Our lab is located on the 5th floor of Genentech Hall on the Mission Bay campus of UCSF, a vibrant academic community in close proximity to several close collaborators (e.g. Professors Jim Wells, Charly Craik, Adam Renslo). Please continue to read below for several examples of projects at the interface of chemical biology and nuclear medicine. She joined the lab in August 2017 and will for 10 months be working on different projects in the Bickler Lab. Her primary focus will be her research project investigating the association between intra-operative tissue oxygenation and post-operative clinical outcome in patients undergoing spine surgery at UCSF. Located at UCSF's Mission Bay campus The Basbaum lab is a group of Students, Interns and Postdoctuoral Fellows commited to pain research.

Rushika Perera, PhD Assistant Professor, Department of Anatomy Perera lab focuses on understanding how scavenging pathways such as autophagy and the lysosome - a degradative organelle - enables metabolic and cellular adaptation to stress and contributes to aggressive features of disease.
We are identifying the machinery and mechanisms that ensure proper protein synthesis, folding, and targeting, as well as the pathways that allow organelles to communicate and regulate their abundance. DeGrado Lab Research laboratory of William DeGrado, PhD Our research focuses on small molecule and protein design as an approach to understanding macromolecule structure and function. Pieper Lab . Our research focuses on developing better therapies for the treatment of glioma.
